Miquel Angel Rodriguez and Arias is currently fundraiser and project Manager in the Department of Physical and Technological Oceanography at the Institute of Marine Sciences of Barcelona (CSIC). Trained as a biologist at the University of Barcelona (1992), he has more than 20 years of experience in the world of research, but only the first four with a pure scientific profile. He has played throughout his career roles as diverse as administration officer and project manager, fundraiser and talent recruiter, team manager, human resources officer or corporate strategy and visibility manager. He has lectured in a half dozen graduate programs in several Catalan universities and from 2009 to 2012, he was the Head of the Laboratory for Education, Outreach and Communication (LEDIC) at the Catalan Institute of Climate Sciences. Since 2002, he writes sporadically in travel and popular science magazines and in 2013 he got a license as a certified tour guide from the Generalitat de Catalunya. He is also Master in Environmental Engineering for the University Ramon Llull (2003) and Master in History of Science and Technology for the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2014). He has been trained in strategic design at the h2i Institute.
